LimbMatch Review integrity policy

Can a review be removed or edited?

A review belongs to the person who wrote it. Reviewers can update or withdraw their own review at any time through their LimbMatch account. If your circumstances change, your device experience changes, or you simply want to revise what you said, that control is always yours.

Can LimbMatch remove a review?

LimbMatch will only remove a review in limited and clearly defined circumstances. These are:

  • The review contains abusive, threatening, or discriminatory language
  • The review includes personally identifying information about a named individual
  • The review is demonstrably fraudulent - for example, submitted by someone who has never used the device
  • The review is in clear breach of the LimbMatch Review Guidelines
  • The review relates to a device that has been recalled or withdrawn from the market, where publication could cause harm

In every case, removal decisions are made by the LimbMatch team, not by manufacturers, clinics, or any commercial partner.

Can a manufacturer request the removal of a review?

No.

A manufacturer may flag a review if they believe it meets one of the limited criteria above. That flag will be reviewed by the LimbMatch team. If the review does not meet the criteria, it stays. The identity of the reviewer is never shared with the manufacturer during this process.

A manufacturer's subscription status, partnership level, or commercial relationship with LimbMatch has no bearing on any review decision. Ever.

Why this matters

The value of every review on LimbMatch - to users, to clinicians, and to manufacturers themselves - depends entirely on the trust that they are genuine and unedited. LimbMatch exists to close the feedback loop the O&P industry has always been missing. That only works if every voice on the platform knows it is safe, permanent, and protected.
